A catch-all mailbox is one that captures all the emails sent to nonexistent email addresses. For instance, if your address is info@domain.com, but somebody mistypes it and sends an email message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have set up. Only one single mailbox per domain name can have this feature activated and thus you will never miss emails because the other party has an out-of-date email address or has made a typographical error. The downside of creating a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of unsolicited emails, but this problem can be solved by using anti-spam filtering software. It is also vital to remember that a mailbox with an enabled catch-all functionality cannot forward inbound messages to a 3rd-party email address.

Catch-all Emails in Cloud Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all e-mailbox effortlessly if you’ve got a cloud hosting plan with our company. The Email Manager tool in our in-house created Hepsia Control Panel is feature-rich, yet incredibly simple to work with, and it will permit you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks. All the mailboxes that you have created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you will see a small "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking on it again will disable it. Since you can have just one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you already have a different one with this feature activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia hosting Control Panel that comes with every semi-dedicated server package that we are offering will permit you to configure a catch-all e-mailbox without any efforts even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each email address that you’ve set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the Control Panel. As you can have only one mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will notify you if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you decide that you do not need this feature anymore, you can disable it by clicking again on the exact same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
